Website terms
Terms of use
These terms apply to your use of receivables.nz and any enquiry you submit through the website. By using the website, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. About these terms
Receivables.nz is a New Zealand-focused receivables management service. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Receivables.nz, and “you” means the person using this website or submitting an enquiry.
These website terms are not a contract for us to provide receivables or debt recovery services. If you engage us, the services will be governed by a separate written agreement. If there is any inconsistency, that agreement will apply to the services.
2. Information on this website
We aim to keep the website information current and useful, but it is general information only. It is not legal, accounting, credit, financial or debt-recovery advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice suited to your circumstances.
The supplier terms checker provides an automated, general information review of selected payment protections. It may misread or miss wording and does not assess whether a term is legally enforceable. Have a solicitor review your terms before relying on them. You must be authorised to upload a document and share it with the providers described in our Privacy policy.
We do not promise that a particular invoice will be paid, that a recovery result will be achieved, or that the website will always be available or error-free. Service availability, scope, timing, fees and outcomes are agreed separately where applicable.
3. Enquiries and acceptable use
You must provide information that is accurate and that you are authorised to provide. Please do not include debtor information, payment card details, passwords, health information or other sensitive information in a website form.
You must not use the website to break the law, send unsolicited commercial messages, interfere with the website or its security, submit malicious code, impersonate someone else, or misuse another person’s information.
An enquiry does not create an obligation for either you or us to enter into a service agreement. We may decline or stop responding to an enquiry where it is unlawful, misleading, abusive or outside our service scope.
4. Communications and recovery conduct
If you engage us, any contact with your customers or other people will follow the instructions, authority, contact details, cadence and escalation rules agreed with you. We expect communications to be accurate, professional, proportionate and consistent with New Zealand law, including applicable privacy and electronic message requirements.
Disputes, vulnerability concerns and requests for help should be handled appropriately. We may pause or change a communication sequence where continuing would be inappropriate or unlawful.
5. Intellectual property
The website and its content, branding, text, graphics and software belong to us or our licensors. You may view and print reasonable extracts for your own business evaluation, but you must not copy, adapt, republish, sell or commercially exploit the content without our written permission.
6. Links and third parties
The website may refer to third-party websites or services. Those sites are controlled by their own operators. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices.
7. Liability and New Zealand law
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or reliance on its general information. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, including rights and protections under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 where those Acts apply.
If you acquire services from us for business purposes, the parties may agree in writing to provisions permitted for business transactions under New Zealand law.
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to them.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time by publishing a new version on this page. The updated date above shows when they were last changed.
